Information Overload – more file cleaning

This is an interesting article on an interesting website–The Technology Liberation Front.  It’s another piece that has been sitting in my pile for a while.  I really need to go more paperless with my personal stuff and that’s one of the things I’m trying to do with this cleaning.  This article is a review of Tyler Cowen’s book “Create Your Own Economy:  The Path to Prosperity in a Disordered World.” There’s a lot to think about here and it has me wanting to read a few of the books described in the post.  Here’s a quote from the Tyler Cowen book that highlights why this space interests me so much:

Fundamentally the relationship between human minds and human cultures is changing.  There is quite literally a new plan for organizing human thoughts and feelings and we are jumping on these opportunities at an unprecedented pace.

Some 20 years ago or so I logged on to the internet from home for the first time in my life.  Before that if I wanted to see a Consumer Reports review of lawn mowers I needed to go to the library.  Now I can read many reviews and then order the lawn mower in one sitting at my computer.  I already take these things for granted.  My access to knowledge has changed so much in 20 years that it is hard to comprehend.
